Meath River Rescue was established in 1996, by a group of local swimmers and divers. It was decided to base it in the Navan region at the junction of the Boyne and Blackwater rivers. The founders consisted of six members and grew over time to the present membership of twenty. All members have done various courses, comprising of diving, boat handling and first aid skills.
In 2013, our headquarters was build in Beechmount Home Park. This was funded in conjunction with Meath Partnership.
